Being a member of group counselling can be a great opportunity for you to see how others are coping with similar issues or difficulties. It also provides you with an opportunity to explore how you relate to others, and how others relate to you.
You are free to choose how much or little to say. Groups are most helpful when members are willing to talk openly and use the opportunity to share and learn together by giving and receiving positive support, feedback and insight. At times this can feel like taking a big risk, but you are always in control of how much you want to challenge yourself in this way.
There are rules about privacy and confidentiality which all members of the group are asked to abide by.
